I can't believe how big Ethan is getting! It sure does go by fast. Update on Ethan lately...

He LOVES to have a lot of attention. He loves watching people to talk and starts to join them by "talking" very loudly. It's so cute. I can't help but laugh. He loves his bouncy chair soo much. He goes crazy in that thing. He also gets frustrated with the little toys on the bouncy chair cause he can't get them off. He tries pulling them so hard, but they don't budge. He starts making grunt noises from frustration and it's sooo funny. I also think he just likes making those noises cause he makes them a lot lol.

He also is very smiley and I love it! He smiles at everything. You just say "boo" and he smiles. I love walking through the door and seeing that big smile on that cute little face! He is also very ticklish and screams from laughter when daddy tickles his neck. It the cutest thing in this world!!!

He is started to squirm on his tummy like he is trying to crawl. I think he may be trying to crawl, but I really don't know. He pushes  his whole body forward and lifts his butt in the air. He doesn't get on his knees yet, but he is pushing with his feet. He gets lazy and just lays his head down and sucks on his hands, than will do it again. It's way too cute! I hope he starts crawling soon :)

One of the things that Ethan has been doing for the last several weeks is he is not sleeping through the night. He was doing so well at sleeping through the whole night in his crib, but now he wakes up in the middle of the night moving around, fussing, wanting his paci. I can't leave the paci in his mouth alone cause he shoves the whole thing in his mouth. YES, the WHOLE thing! It scares me. He also won't go to sleep on his own anymore. I have to stand by his crib for about a half hour until he falls alseep and I don't know why I have to do that anymore. I hope this fades and he goes back to his regular routine of sleeping through the night and going to sleep on his own.

These are just little updates of Ethan for now. More will come soon :)

Trying something new

Today I decided to start a blog to write, or more like type, the things that are going on in our lives and also to keep family and friends updated on our son's adventure.

I am a wife to an amazing husband, Kevin, and a mommy to an amazing beautiful baby boy, Ethan Kade. God surely has blessed me. I've been married for 2 years. My husband and I got married November 16th, 2008. We have been together since May 2005. I gave birth to our son, Ethan, on September 12, 2010. That was the best day of both of our lives! It's amazing how much you can love someone that you've never met! He is my world and I would do anything for him! He is one beautiful baby!

He is currently 5 1/2 months old. If I were going by weeks of his age, he would be 6 months already, but everyone tells me I have to go by the day he was born, so he will be 6 months on March 12th. I still like to think he is 6 months now :) He sure has a personality on him. He is a very happy baby! He loves to "talk", laugh, bounce, stick everything he possibly can into his mouth especially his WHOLE fist, and I'm not exagerrating, roll over, eat and sleep. He is one amazing baby and I enjoy being his mommy! It has been easy, but at the beginning it was hard when he was a newborn.

He was a very colic baby and has acid reflux really bad. Start around 1 month, he would spit up constantly and it would just shoot out. Around a month aud a half, he would start screaming after he spit up and wouldn't eat his food! It was so hard for him to finish his formula and it would make me very worried cause he never would want to eat! We took him for his 2 month check up and I asked th Dr if he had acid reflux, and he did. She put him on Zantac, but never mentioned it would cure the pain of the acid reflux. I thought it was going to get rid of it! Well, the reason he would scream in the middle of feeding's was because the acid reflux was burning. He was not a "happy" spitter, like most babies are. On top of that, he also was colic! It was HORRIBLE and definetley very hard for first time parents. Well, needless to say after all the sleepless nights, screaming baby, crying mommy and daddy who felt like he couldn't do anything, higher dosage of the Zantac, the colic and burning of the acid reflux went away around 3 months. He still spits up a lot, but he doesn't cry anymore and finishes his bottles, well majority of the time cause he rather look at everybody and finish his bottles in incriments. He is now one happy baby boy and we can now take him places without worrying if he is going to scream and cry. I enjoy being a mommy and my husband enjoys being a daddy! He is one amazing daddy, that's for sure. I wouldn't change my life for anything!
Here is my baby boy at 5 months. Isn't he beautiful?
